Hello friends & family,
Jan and I are making our way back to Oriental, NC, where our sailboat Mystique has been sitting on dry land over the summer while we attended to other things. We'll put her in the water Friday and stay aboard over the weekend, watching for any leaks! After getting the sails back on and the canvas back around the cockpit and cleaning her thoroughly, we'll install a new autopilot next week before heading south.
We will be trying to do some more offshore sailing this trip, testing our boat and autopilot. We have no idea where we'll be for Thanksgiving. But we hope you will consider joining us for a leg of the trip! Our destination is Jupiter, FL where we have a slip reserved for the winter. We plan to be in Jupiter by Dec. 1. We'll put the boat to bed and return to Colorado after visiting my parents in Bradenton, returning to Frisco Dec. 6. We'll remain in Frisco for the holidays and ski season, and to remodel our kitchen.
If you can't join us on the boat, consider coming up to Frisco to use our home while we're gone. Just call my cell to arrange - or just to say "Hi" sometime - 303-842-6934.
Our boat has been officially re-christened Mystique from Haleakala - and the name added to the sides of the transom. "Frisco, CO" is on the transom.
